The Hatch House 2016 programme saw new works created and performed by young and emerging creative talents such as Vitali Safronkine, Ksenia Ovsyanick, Mara Galeazzi and Tim Podesta (courtesy of and supported by the Dicky Buckle Fund CIO). A total of seven new works were performed at Hatch House 2016 of which four were world premieres. These brand new works were performed alongside previously commissioned works by CGDC/DBF as well as classical excerpts from balletic greats such as Coppelia, Manon and Corsaire as well as variation from Grand Pas Classique.
This beautiful and hugely well received programme was crowned by the largest and most ambitious new work ‘Les Copines’ commissioned by The Dicky Buckle Fund on a libretto by Terence Brady. Terence’s libretto was based on a Norman Parkinson image called ‘Young Velvets’ and was performed by Mara Galeazzi ,Gregory Dean, Ksenia Ovsyanick, Jia Zhang and Silvia Selvini.
